Journalia as a Browser Extension

Written by Mathilde Maagerø Johansen

With Journalia's browser extension, you can use Journalia directly in your medical records system or in web-based meetings. You can record the conversation, get real-time transcription, and generate structured notes without having to switch between programs.

The extension can be used with, among others, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and other web-based platforms.

Install the Journalia Extension

  1. Click Add to Chrome.

  2. Confirm by clicking Add extension.

Once the extension is installed, you'll find Journalia under extensions in Chrome.

Pin Journalia in Chrome

To make Journalia easily accessible:

  1. Click the extensions icon (puzzle piece) in the top right of Chrome.

  2. Find Journalia in the list.

  3. Click the pin icon next to Journalia.

Journalia now appears as its own icon at the top of the browser.

How to Use Journalia in the Browser Extension

  1. Open the medical records system or web meeting you'll be using.

  2. Click the Journalia icon in Chrome if you've pinned it. If not, click the three dots in the top right, click Extensions, and then Journalia.

  3. Journalia opens as a side panel.

  4. Click Start Recording to begin the recording.

  5. Conduct the consultation or meeting as normal.

  6. When the conversation is finished, stop the recording.

  7. Journalia processes the transcription and generates the note based on the workflow and template you've selected.

You can now use Journalia directly from the side panel while working in the medical records system or participating in a web meeting.
