1. Log in
Click "Log in" at Journalia.com. Select your preferred login method and follow the on-screen instructions to access your account.
2. Start a consultation
Click the "New Consultation" button located in the top left corner.
3. Grant microphone access
If you are using Journalia in a web browser, you must grant the browser access to your microphone to ensure audio recording works correctly.
Click "Allow while visiting the site."
4. Select language, note type, and start recording
Before you begin, you can select the language and type of note. You can also provide additional context by adding free text or uploading files. Journalia will include this relevant information in the final note draft.
When you are ready to begin the consultation, click "Start recording".
5. Conduct the conversation
Speak calmly and naturally while Journalia records the conversation. The system analyzes the content and prepares a structured draft, saving you from manual typing.
Internal Notes: You can type your own notes during the session if there is something specific you want to remember or information you prefer not to say out loud.
Controls: You can pause the conversation at any time and choose whether to show or hide the live transcription.
6. Generate the medical note
Once the conversation is finished, click "Create note". Journalia will then generate a draft for you.
7. Review the finalized note
You can now review and edit the draft. You have the option to edit the text directly or apply standardized and personalized editing instructions.
Refine: If you want a more concise version, click "Make shorter" (Gjør kortere).
Regenerate: You can regenerate the entire note if you are not satisfied with the initial draft.
Export: If Journalia is not integrated with your EHR system, simply click "Copy all" and paste the text directly into your patient records.
