How to Grant Microphone Access

For Journalia to record what is said during a consultation, it must have permission to access your microphone.

Initial Setup

  1. Check your hardware: Ensure you have a working microphone, either built-in (PC/Mac) or external. We strongly recommend using the external microphone provided by Journalia for the best results.

  2. Enable in Journalia: Under "Recording Microphone" in Journalia, click "Grant access to microphone."

  3. If Journalia does not automatically receive access after clicking the button, you must manually adjust your browser settings for the Journalia website:

Microsoft Edge

  1. Click the lock icon in the top-left corner of the address bar.

  2. Toggle the Microphone setting to "Allow."

Google Chrome

  1. Click the settings icon (sliders or lock) in the top-left corner of the address bar.

  2. Verify that the microphone is activated.

  3. If it isn't listed, click "Site settings" and change the Microphone permission to "Allow."
